Project brief
Outbrain, a major actor in online advertising, has been attending the Digital Marketing Exposition & Conference (DMEXCO) for years.
For the 2019 edition, Outbrain wished to create a new, event-specific branding that would emphasize their longstanding attendance and their position as an established and durable company, while maintaining an innovative & disruptive spirit.

New identity: logo and visual elements (source files) + Advertising banners design (inside & outside)  + Booth visual design + Goodies and print design

Same but different
Design a different identity while staying true to the original brand image
Stakeholders validation
Expecting several iterations and feedback loops for key deliverables from key stakeholders across the company
Strict deadlines
For logistical reasons (ordering, printing, delivery to the booth...)
Same ingredients, different recipe
After breaking down the brand to its most basic components, I infused it with a few elements from the DMEXCO brand to create a unique blend. Bon appétit!
High fidelity mockups and flexibility
Validation processes and logistical constraints cannot be avoided, so I used a work process that allowed me to make a change or go back to a previous version and regenerate high-fidelity mockups and/or print-ready files in a matter of minutes.
