Entry for the AntiCafé poster contest. AntiCafé is a new coffee chain in Europe. They've held a contest for illustrations that will be displayed in the shops. Because it's a pay / hour system and the WiFi is great, I know that most customers come to work and solve problems on their computer or notebooks, so I wanted to create a playful illustration, something to take your mind off of work when you look up from your computer. It's also a (not very good) pun on the name of the place: AntiCafé: AntiGravité Café. I wanted to create a sense of familiarity, achieved by using objects that all viewers will be familiar with, energy, which is communicated by coffee itself and the yellow background, and peacefulness, as things twirl around in the space of the poster, not in chaos, but in a harmonious composition. My hope is that when you're stuck working on something, you'll raise your head, see this, and instantly lighten up, which will surely lead to better problem solving!
